Sutton Mountains & Lakeside

A friend of mine and I decided to drive to the Clarno and Painted Hills earlier in the year than normal, and we were first greeted by this cloudy and gloomy sky, and as we left the Clarno Unit about three hours later we drove home to Portland in a deluge that never ended. Not a fun drive with Semi's passing the opposite direction on a 2 lane road at night. However, the day offered many excellent opportunities for different aspects of the topogarphy with the clouded skies.
