Swiftcurrent Basin

Shortly after leaving the trail, this marvelous basin view begins opening up. That's Swiftcurrent Mountain in the clouds on the far right, Swiftcurrent Glacier high on the left. Bullhead Lake is actually relatively large, but in this perspective is mostly hidden. The Swiftcurrent Pass Trail—we've been on it since leaving the camping area—continues, to eventually go up and over the pass, which is the saddle nearest Swiftcurrent Mountain.
