did you see any marmots on Table Mt?Greetings,
I climbed this peak sometime in the early 2000s, but I failed to record the event in my field notebook. I am completing a study of yellow-bellied marmots and would like to confirm that marmots are on Table Mt. I am very sure that I saw at least marmot scats--and I studied your wonderful photos carefully for them and found none--but is there any chance you can remember seeing marmots or their scats when you were up there? My only memory of climbing the peak was camping below the summit on the east side, above Greenmonster Canyon. I appreciate any information that you can give me on this. -Chris

Re: did you see any marmots on Table Mt?Chris, I don't recall any sign of marmots anywhere we were at on this mountain. I used to live in Washington state and the Cascades were loaded with them but I haven't seen many in Nevada.

Re: did you see any marmots on Table Mt?Chris, for what it's worth, I was up there (camped at Clear Lake) in early October last year, and noticed no signs of marmots, alas.

Re: did you see any marmots on Table Mt?Thank you for letting me know!
I did finally locate my record of climbing the peak, which was on May 28, 2002. And I collected some marmot hairs for DNA analysis (the date was on the envelope). But I still have no recollection of the actual climb, including the route I took.
