| TLP | Only one in MO  Date Climbed: Aug 19, 2006 | |
| Drove to this from STL. Pretty hot day. Another car pulls in at the same time. Walk ahead of the family. Wait for them at the highpoint so they can snap a pciture of me. They come to the highpoint, and say oh this isn't the way to the falls, and walk back the other way. I'm like hey man! can you get a picture of me? They mess up the picture, so I have to set the timer and take it myself. I guess they weren't interested at all in the highpoint of MO. Makes me wonder if I should have been?! No, it was a nice little area. Just wish someone else would have been there to share a little highpoint enthusiasm | |

| Taum Sauk succumbs to relentless pursuit & dogged determination. After a 5 hour drive the arrival at the park was a relief. The 100 or so yard walk up the asphalt side walk to the highpoint marker was pleasant. The temps. were in the low 80's in July (can you believe it). This highpoint was a little bit of a let down after Elbert and Guadalupe, nevertheless, it is another highpoint in the bag. Taum Sauk Mtn. is in a truly beautiful part of Missouri with a lot of history. A trip here should definitely include a side trip to Elephant Rocks State Park just a few miles away on Hwy 21. | |

| Scrambling Man | Backpacked from Johnson Shut-In State Park: Fall of 1999 | |
| The trail from the State Park is nice, especially in fall. The colors were tremendous. The State Park has some nice swimming holes. The falls along the the way are nice too. Taum Sauk highpoint isn't very exciting. The falls and Shut-Ins are more interesting. | |

| My wife and I drove here on our way out west and it was a welcome rest from the drive. The weather was warm and breezy. Not busy at all for how nice an area it is. Tried to go up the fire tower but the hatch was locked at the top. Oh well it was still good to see God's creation from a different perspective. | |

| There was heavy rain on the way to the highpoint, but it cleared up nicely when I got there. These are small mountains with very nice scenery. I hiked the 3 miles round trip via the Mina Sauk Falls Trail. It was really nice viewing the multiple waterfalls in the area. Highpoint#28!!! | |

| Geez, this one was too easy. It's ADA accessible and a bit of nothing. I recommend the trail to the falls, it is a nice walk through the woods, especially in the fall. | ||

| I hiked these trails and mountain when I was a 14 year old kid. Beautiful area. That trip made me want to see more mountains. Now I live in California and hike every weekend. | |

| Easy summit with the real fun being the other trails in the park such as Mina Sauk Falls and the Ozark Trail. | |
