Walked up to the Hut in one day (At that time there was no permit necessary if you climbed by foot all the way.) and after a cold night (no sleeping bag, door open and blocked by snow, snow in room and bunkbeds) continued to the top in the dark of the next Morning. Incredible experience to see the sun rise and the shadow of Teide lay over Gomera: awesome ! Mucho fun surfing down the gravel slopes underneath the Cable Car: Run as fast as you can ! ;-))) Ulli Prinz
