Overview

An interesting hiking tour, climbing up to Terzin bogaz (2303m) one of the most beautiful peaks in Durmitor, Montenegro. This tour is continued with climbing up to Savin kuk (2319m), another Durmitor peak with wonderful panorama.

Start

Start is from Zabljak, a small town beneath Durmitor massif on the 1410m above sea level.

Route Description

I've started at 7:00 am with a forest road to near village Razvrsje, down to small meadow Mioc poljana, where I've found marked trail. I've took a trail up to Velika kalica, through the wood at 9:00 am arrived to Struga pass at 1920m.
After a short break, I've entered in a glacial valley called Velika kalcia.
Admiring to beautiful landscape, I follow marked trail and find the crossroad to Alpine hut and Velika previja pass; I climb up to Velika previja (2145 m) and found a trail to Terzin bogaz. From this trail there is a wonderful view on Veliki Medjed.
Eventually, I've arrived at the summit at 11:00 am, 4 hours after start. From the top, there is wonderful view on surrounding mountain peaks of Durmitor.
After taking dozen of photos, I've took an unmarked trail down to Mala Previja pass (2200m) and then descend to Alpine Hut at glacier called Debeli namet (2030m).
Then I've decided to climb up to Savin kuk (2319m), using unmarked but very visible trail at its the end with cable using ascent.
Descending from Savin kuk could be done by using cable car. But in my case, the cable car haven't operated, so I've done by foot.
At the end I've took a long walk from ski resort to Žabljak and return at 6:00 pm at starting point.
