How stable is this.....formation? It looks like it could fall at any time. I don't think I would sit on that bench.

Re: How stable is this.....Don't worry, it is stable enough. Actually on that day I took the picture the bench was the only dry place on which one could sit down. Thanks to the tabletop, of course. It weighs 284 tons and is held in place by three pillars. Someone (whoever does such things) calculated that if the smallest of the pillars crumbles the tabletop would still remain in place.
But before it would fall I'm sure they would somehow secure it. It's a well known landmark, which draws thousands of visitors. Can't have that tumble, can you?
