Narrow Chute
This was the first time this year I'd seen this chute open wide enough to get thru. I had to turn sideways to fit between the ice on both sides. A fun climb. Could be pitched out into two short pitches. Solo climb.

It was inviting
First time up Hood. Was aiming for the 'Old Chutes' variation but this little chute looked pretty attractive. Agree with the gear recommendation. I solo'd this with 1 axe and glacier crampons and it was a little sketchy. I'd consider this a great alternative if one of the other main routes is crowded and you have the gear for it.

up "the chute"
climbed the chute with jamie nellis. we completely enjoyed the mixture of harder snow and ice. highly recommended!
