FestiveAlthough the clouds are cloaking a big part of this photo, I thoroughly enjoy the festive look - kind of like one of those miniature Christmas scenes. Nice.

Peanut butterEsugi,
I was skiing at Timberline this same morning. We never did see the summit that day. Snow was like peanut butter. Nasty sticky junk for skiing. Too bad you didn't summit.

Re: Peanut butterWe didn't summit but it was still fun and good experience. Were you there Saturday night? Snow was coming down hard at Timberline lodge! With the wind blowing, the snow was driving sideways!
I was kinda wishing I had my snowboard but glad I didn't (with that sticky snow!).

Re: Peanut butterLooked like boarders were having a better time than us. With 2 skis, the likelihood that one would stick and the other keep going was higher. Made for some stellar faceplants though.
Was not there Saturday night but noticed the new snow in the morning when we got there about 8 am. Too bad it turned to rain by about noon.
Glad you enjoyed Hood despite the less than perfect conditions.
