The color of Colchuck Lake...
The color of Colchuck Lake provides a unique splash of color in this rock and snow environment. I'm always amazed by the beauty of this lake and its coloring.

I'm heading up there tonight with the hopes of doing either Colchuck or Dragontail tomorrow. Also hopeful of getting something else in up there on Saturday. C'mon up and join me. Thanks for the comments.

Thanks for the invite Dean.....definitely will get out there a time or two this season but this weekend we're committed to doing Baker.

Have a great time and hopefully the weather keeps holding strong on us!

Cool. I'm trying Baker on the weekend of the 10th of July. Which route are you doing?

Washington Pass this weekend for me. :-)

Hey Martin,

just the walk-up Easton Glacier. Doing it with a friend of ours who's leading a Mazama climb. What's on the menu for WA pass? Not to jinx it, but looks like we'll be having some incredible weather!

Have fun dude (feel envious about the nice, warm rock you'll be climbing this weekend :).

Thanks Dean.

You enjoy those Enchantments as well (very much interested in the photos you'll take....want to do some rock stuff in the area in the -hopefully - near future)!

.....I'll take pictures but Mt. Baker page already has like a million or two esp. from the standard route that we're doing so will need to observe restraint in posting :)

Take care.

Thanks Bob, that lake has the most beautiful coloring of almost any I have ever seen. I didn't quite capture a reflection shot but it came close.

You took some very nice shots on your memorial day trip. I managed to capture this one when the sun came out for a fleeting moment last week. If you'll take a look at the pic I posted recently of Dragontail, you'll see I got lucky. The pic of Dragontail was taken only a moment before this one. I opted not to go for the summit cause when I got to the top of the moraine just below the Colchuck glacier, it started raining and I stupidly had no rain gear. That's why I'm heading back up in the morning.
