The Common Reed (Phragmites australis) is the tallest of all grasses growing in Poland. It can grow up to 4 meters in height. In the mountains it only likes wet meadows and bogs. It blooms from August to October. Phragmites australis is an important plant for wildlife, especially a few species of birds.
