The "Confluence"

I am standing at the confluence of Swift Creek and the drainage from Tilted Valley. At this point, the stream from that drainage is barely a trickle and barely noticeable, but you can look a little higher and see the clear course of the drainage as it comes down from the valley, which opens up past the trees seen in the center. Open Door Mountain is in the background. The route through the basin ascends to the right beneath this peak. Gros Ventre Range, Wyoming-- July 2014
