amazinglyUNconsolidated I'm guessing? These moss-covered boulder fields in the gorge always seem much more loose than they would appear. Guessing this was the case here?

Re: amazinglyAbsolutely. This rock field was more loose than others I've seen in the Gorge. I would step on something and a couple dozen rocks would shift underneath. And the moss sometimes covered gaps between rocks which made for nice holes to step in.
Thanks for the nice words. Karl is posting photos tonight of the route which are much better that what I put up. I was leading so didn't get any shots.
Was neat to find something in the vicinity that I had not known about.
FYI, I am headed to your old stomping grounds in a week or so (New Jersey) for a business trip. I'll be sure to take some shots of Newark and Parsippany for ya. ;- )

Re: amazinglyBrian - it's great to see those (esp.) Gorge obscurities! I dunno why, but I really enjoy them (esp. looking at them from the comfort of my chair at home :)
Going to Newark, New Jersey eh? You sure it's a "business trip"? Judging from the destination, I'd say you guys having a 2nd honeymoon it sounds like to me! Enjoy all that Newark's got to offer & Parsippany too no less (you high roller you!!!).
