The faint glow of lava can be...
The faint glow of lava can be seen in this night view of Mt. St. Helens taken from Goat Mountain. The glow, just above the center of the image, was not easily visible to the naked eye. The mountain is backlit by the lights of Portland reflecting off of high clouds. October 14, 2004
