The first of five copper...
The first of five copper plates displaying the names, the age and the causes & date of death of the far more than 200 mountaineers who died on Grossglockner so far. The fourth name from top is the one of Count Pallavicini, after whom the famous Pallavicinirinne is named. This memorial is placed at the cemetery of Kals. Picture taken 2 days before my ascent on 19th August 2003.
