glorious looseness

How loose really is the rock? I'm thinking of climbing this next summer, but my companion has a fear of very loose rock.

Well, you can pick your way in and around a lot of it. It's not like every step is treacherous, it is just time-consuming finding good spots. We had a party of 3 and had to stay apart because no matter what, we were all knocking stuff down. It's been a few years since I was there but I don't remember it being dangerous or anything, just a pain to deal with.
