The Good Neighbors

Weeping Birch (Betula pendula) and Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) Weeping Birch is a deciduous tree with characteristic drooping leaves. Its bark is white, often with black diamond-shaped marks or larger patches at the base. Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) is an evergreen tree with pretty blue-green needles. The bark is thick, scaly dark grey-brown on the lower trunk, and thin, flaky and orange on the upper trunk and branches. The Low Beskid - Mount Woltuszowska - June 2007.
