plenty of friction climbing.

Wow!When I see stuff like this, it makes me want to try climbing. I've been a hiker and backpacker all of my outdoors life, but sometimes I feel like taking a stab at climbing.
Last time I was at Stone Mountain (a few months ago) there was a lone climber starting up the face.

Re: Mercurys Lead and Storm in a Tea Cup...Thanks. I really wish I'd gotten down there more often. Now that I know the drill with friction slab, I'd love to try something a little harder than No Alternative (which wigged the hell out of me at the time!). I remember thinking Grand Funk looked pretty cool as well.

Mecury's Lead.I had my Yosemite rack on doing The Great Arch, while doing my best "newbie" imitation and watched Jess Tucker solo Mercury's Lead next to me! He said, "throw all that gear in your trunk and do White Way!", so I did and was hooked forever! Thanks to ALL my partners! Thanks Rockrat!
