It's difficult to see in this photo, but this is the location, at approximately 2400' elevation, where the road circling around Haystack Mountain, in Snohomish County, forks. To the left, the route towards the summit of Haystack Mountain continues. To the right, the road begins heading downhill away from the mountain.
