The Hochwilde, like a cathedral on the glacier
The northern and southern Hochwilde from the Gurglerferner.
Both peaks are easily found since they are marked by a cross. We are a on the Gurgler glacier, roughly north-west of the pair but still south of the Mitterkamm.
The nearest one is the Nördliche Hochwilde (3461m), the more distant one the Südliche Hochwilde (3482m). We came from the Italian side and scrambled over that ridge. It was a beautiful day!
