The Horses' waterfall

The Horses' waterfall

Cascada Cailor (RO), Lóhavasi-vízesés (HU) is the most important fall of the Rodna (height: 80m)
The legend has it that the mountain meadows of Piatra Rea were the horses' haven in the past. The bear attacked them on a dark rainy night. Frightened horses rushed towards the valley hoping to escape. However, they were wrong and all of them fell through the ravine. It is said that the bear got at least 15 horses and this event remained in the memory of locals. That's why everything in this area now belongs to the horses (mountain, bridge, spring).
