Great stunt for your age.

I wish to congratulate you for climbing the Matterhorn at age 58. I had an adventure similar to yours fifty four years ago. But like Richard Halliburton I did it at age 21 while on army leave back in 1955. You can read my account on the summit register. I hope your sons have inherited your enthusiasm for mountaineering.

Thank you for the nice words. My sons are still coming along (as long as I foot the bills!!!) and it is great fun to go with them. Two summers ago we wanted to do the traverse from the Italian to the Swiss ridge but weather was (again) uncooperative!

Thank you for the kind words. My goal is to, someday, complete the traverse up Lion-down Hornli. Weather & mountain conditions are the major obstacles when the time is limited.
