The McHenrys Notch Couloir rises from Solitude Basin to the notch that separates McHenrys Peak from Powell Peak. Rocky Mountain National Park. September 2004.

	Hasn't voted	Hi Lorenzo. Happy New Year! Yes, they look pretty similar, but this couloir is shorter (less than 300m) and should be a little less steep than Canalone Neri. In any case, it's very attractive and it should make for a grand mountaineering day. I have it on my "to do" list, but after the east ridge of McHenrys Peak, which I hope to do next summer.

Brenta - were you close enough to discern ice vs. snow? These January conditions look do-able; however, this this year's snowfall is a bit heavier thus far. I would love to bivy at the lake and tackle Powell with my ice tools!

	Hasn't voted	I submitted the picture in January, but it was taken in mid September. It's been a while, so I'm not sure what I really saw, but from the original image, which shows more detail than this one, I can see that the darker areas are exposed ice. Then again, when I finally reached McHenrys that day, I found that the party that had signed the summit register right before me had climbed the notch couloir.
