The Old-Growth Red Fir Forest of Monument Peak

Taken at Heavenly Ski Resort near the base of the North Bowl chair in June of 2006. Only 5% of original old-growth forest still exists in the Tahoe Basin. Many of these trees are now being cut to make new ski runs.
