June 21, 2008 (Drought/low snow year) The pit seen in this picture sits on the saddle between the Mazi Gardan and Ghobi peaks. It is enclosed on all sides. I was surprised to see no lake at the bottom of it. Looking south from the summit of Mazi Gardan
