The Red Gully

Photo taken shortly after entering the gully - at about 13,500 feet. About 800 feet of steep climbing yet to go! I liked staying on the solid conglomerate rock which made for some great scrambling/climbing. Although they say the gully is solid, there is plenty of loose scree - which is more what Rob (R) is on in this pic. Crestone Peak Sangre de Cristo Mountains September 3, 2012
