The Smear WI3+

The Smear is one pitch seven story tall feature that irregularly forms up from season to season out on the west side of the Mendenhall Lake peninsula. This is an early season photo showing a couple of options. Obviously,there is some potential for tossing in some harder mixed sections for seasoned veterans, but give this another month and the two climbs will join to form one solid curtain. The most noteworthy section is on the left. Vertical for most of the first 20 meters it then gently slopes off to a 70 degree angle and a good place to put a belay or v-thread.
