The terry cloth hat of yesteryear

The terry cloth hat of yesteryear

In this pic taken in 1980, I am wearing a terrycloth hat that they used to sell at REI. Those things were awesome. You could wear them as a hat of course, use them as a washcloth and wet them down on a hot day and they'd keep you cool. If anyone knows a place where they might sell them nowadays, I'd love to hear from you. Also check out the pin on my hat. You were entitled to wear it if you'd climbed Mt. Rainier and it was a form of a status symbol. Today you wouldn't catch me wearing such a pin nor would I be sporting the long sideburns.

Re: Bring back

If I brought back the burns, I'd have more hair there than on the top of my head. Here's one for you to do when you get bored.
