The trail?

The trail?

Actually, a road once led up to the lookout but when the lookout was removed, the road was bermed (repeatedly) and left to return to nature. This is the largest part of the road and if you look closely, you will see the beginning of a zillion trees that have fallen down and blocked it. You wind your way through the trees, or bypass them via short detours on one side of the road or the other. 9-2-06

An Americain

You can thank 4 hard working people for bucking out this 3.5 mi of trail in 2012. The Klamath tribe has kept the forest service from maintaining this trail for many years. 1992 the USFS give the area a non motorized use designation and closed the Rodman rock to Blue Buck spring road. The NRT 160 trail that was to be the Southern Oregon Intertie Trail( PCT to the Desert trail ) was stopped by the Klamath tribe at the top of the Mtn. Yes this is a mystic place but it should be shared by all who venture there.

Re: An Americain

That is impressive as there was so much work involved. I salute those 4 people who cared enough to make it happen. Thanks for sharing that.
