Nice photo!Excellent photo Brian.
Very crisp and captures colors well.
What camera did you use here (analog/digital, what brand etc)?

Re: Nice photo!Umm.........(chuckle).........it's called a Kodak disposable camera and I got it in the checkout line at Safeway.
(for the most part, my photos suck, I know, but every once in a while, one turns out decent. Thanks for your nice comments about this one though.)

Re: Nice photo!Wow!! that's pretty amazing - disposable camera huh??
Don't beat yourself up Brian. I think your photos are good. It's just that here at SP we have a few guys (I think we/they know who they are!!!:)) who take outstanding photos (we're luck in that we get to view them at work!!) making the rest of us "casual photographers" look ...well, like "casual phtographers" (Shirley and I are in this category - lots of mediocre/crappy shots and a decent one once in a blue moon).
For me voting well on a photo usually involves grouping it into one of two categories: 1. those breath-takingly beautiful panoramic or action shots OR 2. those shots that tell me some details regarding the route, esp. important for technical stuff (how big is the belay ledge; if it's a face climb, how steep is the incline angle; if it's an offwidth, how much of it etc....). Also, I think that if a person submits a bundle of photos that are great in either of those categories, they're entitled to a self-gratifying summit or whatever portrait or two (without being "punished" with low voting). Let's face it, a lot of us are driven to post pictures here so that we can share them with friends/family who are usually more interested in seeing faces rather than panoramas.
....just some personal opinion BS from me.
