The View South

Looking south from Nut Basin across the broad Salmon River Canyon to the Grassy Mountains. Patrick Butte is on the right and Sam's Throne, Lava Butte, Bruin Peak etc are on the left. The tributary canyon at the lower left is Allison Creek where some very nice dispersed campsites can be found. The Salmon Canyon is well over a mile deep here. June 2006
