The weather kept me off of...

The weather kept me off of the high peaks because road access to the trailheads was unavailable due to heavy snow. I didn't have time for long approach hikes. But I did stop at the intersection of 276 and the Blue Ridge Parkway to snap this shot.

Cold Mtn.

You know, I remember times before the self-titled book/movie when you could leave your car here and it would be the only car in that parking lot for days on end. I live at the foot of cold mountain, and you would be suprised at the range of people that actually try and make the tough hike these days.
