A fine picture to show the real difficulties of Cilindro de Marboré. This way no-one can say "I didn't know". Congratulations

If a climber were disinterested in this, his/her mind would not be firing on all cylinders!

I climbed ( and went down ) last year by another chimney, situated on the left ( west ). It's mentionned on several books of Angulo or other pyrenean guides.

Have you tested it, and if so which one is the easiest?

Yes, many people descent across the second chimney on the left (right if you are in the upper side of the wall), it's easiest to descent (grade II-inf) but if you have a rope the rappel is very easy and funny in the main chimney (grade II, metallic anchorage). Without rope the west chimney is easiest but more exposed.

The main chimney is more secure.

Important: really the chimney on the left is easiest but it's more exposed over the walls of Marboré. The fall is smaller in the main chimney. If you don't have looked this chimneys before the climb (first time in this mountain), do you know if you need a rope before to try it?

It's advisable the rope except for mountaineers with experience (a lot in summitpost, sure). Many people climb Mt Perdido, Taillon and other mountains in Ordesa and generally they never have climbed a chimney of grade II and it's important the warning about the Cilindro.
