Three Rivers Petroglyph Site

Three Rivers Petroglyph Site

The circle and dot motif account for over 10 percent of the more than 21,000 petroglyphs at the Three Rivers Petroglyph Site in southern New Mexico. Its presence at other sites in the American southwest is negligible. The symbolic meaning of the circle and dots is undetermined, however, it is believed to be linked to the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl.
