Beautiful shot.Jim, you make me feel like a slacker... I was hesitent to go to the high mountains last weekend with the high winds above timberline... and lo and behold your'e triapsing around on one of the IPW's great double headers. Congratulations. Nice photo.

Re: Beautiful shot. Thanks Jon. I was worried about the winds too. I spent twelve hours in a tent Sunday night listening to the winds howl, wondering what Monday would bring. Monday was good!
As for the double header, I didn't make it up Paiute. It was doable today but would have wrecked my fun by scaring the crap out of me. I went a ways up it just to take some pictures.

Beautiful shot, the sequelI'll second Jon's comments. Plus add a great shot of one of my favorite IPW peaks. Thanks, Jim.

Where is Kane?Isn't that "Iroqouis Peak" at the head of the Lone Eagle Ridge sticking up just over Tolls right shoulder? That should get him riled and roaring.

Re: It looks like it was a cold day....Thanks Colin,
It was cold but not terribly so. The air was really clear and there was no wind to speak of, and that makes all the difference. Good timing on my part because the wind the previous day was in the 100 MPH range. I wouldn't have made in 50 feet above timberline in those conditions.
