Trail to Purple Peak

To be honest, I don't know. The topographical map we had only listed Purple Peak at the end of the trail we were on (but I don't think that mountain is Purple Peak - there is another one I posted that looks more like Purple Peak). This mountain is just one in straight view after reaching the summit of the trail (Purple Peak is towards your left once on top). The trail starts out on the same one that heads up to Mount Owen but instead of going up to Green Lake it heads toward what somebody told us was called "the plateau". It was poorly marked and maintained, and there were even instances where we had to try and find it again. However, once we reached the summit, it was well worth the effort. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
