Hi Igor!
Could you help me with some more words?

(snow)plod - how do you translate this.
To the top! - is it "k natjalu"
Alpinist - is i just "alpinist", but what does "gorets" mean?

Many thanks! /Joel

Re: More

Hi Joel.
Could you give a definition for "plod"? I'm not sure what it means.
"To the top!" (if it means "to the summit") is "K vershinye!". "K nachalu" is "to the beginning".
Yes, just "alpinist" ("l" is soft and the last syllable is stressed).
"Gorets" is a mountain dweller.

Re: More

Hm, difficult to give a definition for "plod", but it is a noun, that means a long walk with some effort/struggle. Possibly it can not be translated into Russian. Thanks anyway for the answers!

Re: More

I was afraid there is some specific meaning connected with mountaineering. Well, we have some equivalents for "plod" but I wouldn't recommend any of them :-)
