traverse on the west side

from Piotjoch pass we traverse beneath the foresummit of Piz Piot on its west side. The west ridge of the foresummit is to reach where the sun reflex meets the mountain. This last slope is steep and requires good conditions. We had to carry skis there and I used my ice axe. (January 6th 2007)
