| Stable but passable snow conditions. Good route. The glissade down was pretty sweet. Two others in our party skied it. Some of the best weather I've ever experienced under calender winter. | |

| A winter ascent of Longs has been very elusive for me. This year all the variables came together beautifully for an easy ascent of the Trough in great weather, with great company. Climbed with zenalpinist, mlatham, marella, pksander, charlesd, brenta, and thebeave7. | |

| We, rkymtn and I, got an early start on what was a beautiful Colorado winter day. The snow in the Trough wasn't consolidated so we had to kick step the whole way. It also meant we couldn't glissade on the way down. A long day but well worth the workout. | |
