DOUBLE PEAKS AND DOUBLE MOOSE  Sucess!

Honestly took my time and did this for comfort and not time...I cruised through 7 Bridges, and took 720 to a good spot below the base of a craggy area on Tuckaway...I hoofed it and some parts reminded me of the crummy sandy sections on Runs Down Fast but it was pretty avoidable. After enjoying (and figuring out) that summit, and not finding a cache, I spied Point 10590 (or whatever). I scrambled up that for outstanding views (and another tick), and then made a very manageable bushwack jog through that nice sand, linked up with 667 and decided to first-time it down Bear Creek. I saw a few moose on the way down (!!!) and then I connected back to the TH via the saddle between Mays and Buckhorn. A great day out, and that was off an egg, a sweet potato and a slice on banana bread!

Seven Bridges/Jones Park  Sucess!

Spent entirely too much time wandering around the true summit looking for the register, that apparently doesn't exist (maybe the billions of ants ate it). Had to settle for signing the register on the false summit.

had to do it again  Sucess!

I *thought* I had climbed this one, but a field report named a previously unknown high point west of the recognized summit--a low 5th class boulder out at the end of the long summit ridge. GPS confirmed that it is indeed about 30 feet higher. I made it!

5 Peaks  Sucess!

With "Runs-Down-Fast-Mountain", Mount Garfield, Kineo Mountain & 8130. The highest point of "Tuckaway Mountain" is located in the western end of the closed contour and requires fifth class climbing to reach the top.

Route: 7 Bridges/Jones Park  Sucess!

Started just before sunrise to get decent weather. Still got snowed on at the top; temps below 40 almost the whole trip. Descended Bear Creek Canyon & climbed over the ridge to get back to the TH.
