4 days and nights
We hiked in from Loudin lake, a 14 mile push with 8 day packs, to beat a storm front. It sure was nice to wake up each of the 4 snowing mornings with a roof over our heads and firewood cut the day before.

Spledid Place
These old cabins are AWESOME!!! I've never stayed in such old building in Washington state so rich in history. And they really saved our ass from some terrific storms. It's a long walk to get there but I hope to go back.

A Great Logistical Center!
When I planned this trip to the Pasayten Wilderness, I do not think Gimpilator (who was my hiking partner for the trip) anticipated Tungsten Mine Camp to be such a cool place rich in history and so close to very enticing mountains. We spent two days/nights at Tungsten Mine Camp, during which time we summited Wolframite Mountain, Apex Mountain, Bauerman Ridge, and Teapot Dome... in between freak storms hitting the area. Gimpilator recently had an arm injury prior to the trip, so we were not able to attempt places such as Remmel Mountain, Cathedral Peak, or Amphitheater Mountain, but our trip to Tungsten Mine Camp was so enjoyable that I am certain we will return another time to attempt more peaks. We met several people hiking the Pacific Northwest Trail, passing through the campsite and/or staying in the other cabin.
