Turn Around Point | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Thinking about his wife and daughter, Craig decided to wait for us here. To continue he would have had to downclimb the wall in front of him or find a way around through the notch. Without ropes, both options involved a considerable degree of risk. Photographed July 3, 2010. Click here to see his vantage point of me downclimbing the wall. Voted 10/10 | It helps to tell the story better. After holding back at that point, I found a spot to circle around the south side of the notch/rock pinnacle, but it involved dropping down ~75'-100' elevation, and then scrambling back up again. I opted to stay put in my comfortable rock nook with a great viewpoint and sheltered from wind. I am content with my decision, on this trip. | | Posted Jul 8, 2010 1:25 pm |
