Thanks for checking it out and voting. I need to get some pix from Sandy Stream Pond. It is really nice to have your pages on the Polar Mtns so accessible.
I almost climbed this one a few years ago. But we were so sore from the climb up Katahdin the day before (and the hellish, unending descent down the Helon Taylor Trail) that neither of us felt up to it.
Thanks for viewing across the pond. This is one of the first mountains I climbed. Great work on the Gruppo delle Grigne. I especially liked the views of Monte Rosa rising over the clouds.
Thanks Aleksander, I put this view in the Ktaadn section but it could just as well be here. I like the weird rocks on Postak. Congrats on approaching the 1K mark on SP.
Nice page as always. Maine is probably THE place where you can really leave crowds behind on the East Coast. Been wanting to do a backpack somewhere in Maine ever since reading Bryson's "Walk in the Woods" book.
Thanks for checking out Turner Mtn and your good vote. Enjoyed your recent photo tour of the East Buttress and the Lost Arrow, I guess the large friend was in the 5.10 OW!
Thanks for the good wishes. The hand is coming along but it has kept me off of any scrambling I'd planned on doing. It is actually the far right finger that took the hit but I can't grip an i'ce axe or down climb with it although I can still hike fine.

Untitled CommentThanks for your thoughts and vote. It certainly would be a good winter's hike and might have less wind than the small haystack!
