East Twin, the higher of the Twin Peaks in the San Gabriel Mountains high country. Seen from the trail from Buckhorn trailhead, Oct. 22, 2006.

This peak is a "booger-bear", as a close friend of mine would say. You climb to 7900 feet on Waterman, descend to Twin Peaks Saddle at 6800 feet, then go straight up the slope to the summit. Whew! And then there is no good view due to the trees! Following that, you have to re-climb Waterman!
