UN 12,930

UN 12,930, sometimes mistaken for Trinchera Peak, can be viewed prominently above Bear and Blue Lakes CG, located SW of the town of Cuchara. The summit can be accessed following a crude climber's trail west along the creek drainage starting from the Bear Lake CG waterpump. Follow the drainage to timberline , then the ridge south, over UN 12,600, to the summit. Some moderate stable talus is the only obstacle.
