Voted 10/10 | great shot!'that traverse to Matterhon is awesome!,,, we made it 3/4 of the way before the rain started and had to retreat to the basin. Wetterhorn is a classic! | | Posted Dec 29, 2006 10:10 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks!! That traverse looks difficult; we ended up on the east face and got a pretty good look at it. How did you get off the ridge during the storm, it looks committing? | | Posted Dec 29, 2006 10:48 pm |

Voted 10/10 | we saw the clouds moving in and found a scree filled chute that was manageable. once we got into the basin, the heavens opened up!
To the point we went, I found the traverse class 3, (with a little route finding) I feel though, that the final approach to Matterhorn may include some class 4/5 | | Posted Dec 29, 2006 10:57 pm |
