| Climbed the standard route from Nellie Creek. Had to park about 2 miles from the trailhead due to icy conditions in upper Nellie Creek. Beautiful day, calm and not to chilly! Not much snow on the trail until above 12,000' (even then only about 6")then the upper slopes above the cliffs were dry! | |

| the San Juans. Beautiful day. Spent an hour on the summit with about 40 other people and my dog. The dog was good company:) | |

| Left TH (9,300') at 7.29. Clouds prevalent from get-go, so hurried. Summited @ 10.45, after taking 3rd-class variation from ridge (instead of where trail skirted cliff bands)- fun! Left summit at 10.54 to avoid ominous-looking potential storm clouds, wind, & cold temp's. After left summit, turned into a beautiful day- warm + no storms! | |

| Made the long trek over from Matterhorn Creek in the hopes of climbing both Uncompahgre and Wetterhorn. Unfortunately, the weather was less than ideal, so we only got to Uncompahgre. I enjoyed the look of this mountain- very unusual. | |

| I started at the Matterhorn Creek TH and first summited Wetterhorn and Matterhorn. I then took the long way around on the SW slopes route to the standard trail. An awesome looking mountain but not very interesting for climbing. Made the summit in 5:30 with a ctc of 7:40. | |

| Awesome hike, just don't stumble off that face that's 5 feet from the summit! Walk over to the slightly lower summit that overlooks Wetterhorn, Matterhorn, etc. for an awesome perch with even more exposure! | |

| Uncompahgre was our very 1st 14er attempted back in June 2004, but we were snowed off the mountain at 13,100. This time we took the Matterhorn Creek TH. It was a gorgeous day, and beautiful views. We took a short cut up southwest scree field on the saddle. We were thinking about bagging Wetterhorn also, but decided to save it for another day! ;o) | |

| After summiting Wetterhorn at 6:30am, we headed over the L-O-N-G slog accross the valley... up and down and up and down... traversed all the way to the trail on the end of the ridge, and hiked up. What amazing drops from the summit! Only 13 more to go!!!! | |

| Just a damn nice weekend. The hike was nice and luckily the wheather held out long enough to summit. Not many people out that day and that was nice. One of the more scenic 14ers, but then again it is the San Juans which are just all around amazing. | |
