| I hiked up Union Peak sometime in the late 90's and it was a great time. The whole Union Pass area gives a feeling of vastness and the views are amazing. On my way back from the peak I got hit with an afternoon thunderstorm and I remember the mosquitos were some of the worst I ever experienced. Any part of me that did not have repellent they would find. They were in my hair on the back of my head. The skeeters won that day and I remember the relief when I finally got back to my truck, still a great memory. | |

| Nothing too exciting, but the meadows are very pretty and the views of the distant peaks are nice. Good when one wants an easy day. | |
