On day 7 of our Altay ski backpack, we were back into trailbreaking on the sugary snow, after the ski track on Kurigan River ended. Luckily we soon discovered the snowpack in the steep riverbed of N Ioldo Creek was windpacked. Crosser herring-boning up the creek. March 1988
