The West Peak trail (West Spanish Peak) begins above 11,00 feet at the Cordova Pass TH and follows a gentle ridge across meadows, rising and falling. Switchbacks begin as the trail then climbs more steeply through the forest, and eventually, to timberline, a worthwhile destination even if peak is not being climbed. June 2010. Olympus E-30 camera.
